After footage emerged over the weekend of Hathaway and co-star Nicholas Galitzine celebrating Trossard's breakthrough goal against Wolves during an interview promoting their upcoming movie , Arsenal fans kept the Hollywood vibes rolling as the Belgian opened the scoring again as the Gunners demolished Chelsea on Tuesday night.

Hathaway said "I love you" after learning about Trossard's goal against Wolves, before explaining to the journalist conducting the interview: “Sorry, we’re both fans of the same team and there’s a match going on right now. During our last interview, we scored a goal. We’ve had a rough week."

Giddily reacting on social media as the Gunners racked up a record win over the London rivals, many invoked Hathaway's influence on Arsenal's form, and even suggested Trossard is now channelling Brazilian legend Ronaldo.

"Trossard playing like R9 after the Anne Hathaway prop. He just like me," posted @_PhilCosta, who also quipped: "Forget Dubai, get Anne Hathaway down to the carpet asap."

"Trossard heard Anne Hathaway was watching and decided to ball out early. Relatable king," posted journalist Carl Anka.

"Anne Hathaway is somewhere saying I love you to Trossard again," said @JadenAFC.

@mariEscobarPME summed the night up with a droll put down of the beleaguered Blues: "At the end of the day we have Anne Hathaway and they have Astrid Wett."

THE BIGGER PICTURE

New York-born Hathaway's sudden reveal as a Gooner has come as somewhat of a surprise for Arsenal fans. Galitzine, however, is more of an obvious fit having been born and brought up in London and openly touted his Arsenal credentials on several occasions.

It will be an early start for Hathaway if she wants to keep tabs on her favourite Belgian forward this weekend. The Gunners take a trip up the Seven Sisters Road to take on bitter rivals Tottenham on Sunday in a lunchtime kick-off UK time, but very much an early-morning coffee time in LA.
